The area of King Township identified in this plan has no services available. It is far from public transportation, water and sewers.
It will destroy the farmland that is there.
It is on a sideroad, that will not be able to handle the traffic.

I am strongly opposed to any removal of lands from the established greenbelt. There are sufficient alternatives that do not require damaging and paving over irreplaceable farmland, wetland and natural habitats. Allow the municipalities to determine the best strategies for land use.

Please reconsider changes to the Green Belt. We need to consider future generations. They have the right to clean air and drinking water. All the trees that give us oxygen. Places for or children and grandchildren to play and run free. You can’t put a price on this.

Removing land from the greenbelt to allow development is a very bad idea. We have enough developable sites. We cannot afford to lose any agricultural or natural areas.

Don not touch our greenlands. These spaces are important to where we live and how we live. Our children and their children need nature to be left to thrive. This is unacceptable and short sighted and truly horrible.
Ontario citizens do not want to amend the plan to protect the Greenbelt. Premier Ford knows this, and promised not to touch the Greenbelt in 2018.

I support the proposed changes to the Greenbelt Plan. Although they will remove or redesignate 15 areas of land to accommodate the homelessness issue, they will add lands in the Paris Galt Moraine area to make up for the lost greenbelt.
~ The premier made a pledge in the last election that he would not touch the greenbelt. He cannot break this promise.
~ The government cannot also remove and add lands to the greenbelt to suit their political purposes. This is egregious.
