There is no question that Ontario needs more housing; however, it should not be at the expense of the environment. There is absolutely no need to build houses in the Greenbelt, especially since Premier Ford earlier stated publicly that no land in the Greenbelt would be open to development! Read more

Doig Ford made a campaign promise not to touch the Greenbelt. So much for honesty and integrity. This government needs to be investigated for criminal collusion with developers. We must protect the Greenbelt from the greed of short sighed Profiteers.

I oppose plans to remove lands from the Greenbelt. It is not necessary, as there are already 88,000 acres of land on backlog for development. Major urban centres are asking for higher density housing development, why is this being circumvented to destroy the greenbelt? Read more

The greenbelt must not be converted into developed land. By converting this land into more housing we are harming our future instead of helping it. The majority of the areas marked for removal from the greenbelt are near water which is essential for maintaining a well balanced biodiversity. Read more
