This provincial government was elected with the promise NOT to develop the green belt. To develop the green belt betrays the trust of the people of Ontario, and betrays the reason the green belt was established in the first place: to protect environmentally sensitive areas, farmland, and animals.

The greenbelt is critical for preserving natural habitat wetlands and prime agricultural land in already highly developed southern Ontario.
Please maintain the green belt as is or expand it's current footprint.

We must protect this land from being developed! Flood management funding was cut and then the Pickering boardwalk was literally washed away.
How is this even a question for debate when the auditor general has found so much proof. More housing will be useless once flooding destroys them.

Ontario deserves a realistic housing plan that DOES NOT destroy our environment. We lose 1% of our farmland every year. We need beautiful green walkable spaces. Not more low-density cookie cutter homes.

The premier promised not to touch the greenbelt.
Opening up the greenbelt will not solve the problem of AFFORDABLE housing. The developers do not build affordable houses, they build 3000 sq ft houses.
All these people will have to drive from these faraway communities to get to work.
