As life long resident of the Greater Toronto area and avid hobby farmer, I see that this plan will permanently damage our environment. Land near creeks and streams is part of our watershed and we should be increasing our protection and naturalization of this land not eroding it further.

There is no way the greenbelt for development so that developers can throw a bunch of cheaply-built homes onto land that should remain protected. We only have one greenbelt, and when it's developed on that can never be reversed.

I think it is outrageous that this government is proposing to pave over valuable farmland to build housing. We cannot reclaim this land after such housing is built.

While recognizing the urgent need for affordable housing in Ontario, this is totally unnecessary.
This will not provide truly affordable housing with easy access to public transit, work and services.
That is better done by increasing density in non-greenbelt land.

I am fully against Bill 23 and the incorrect use of land within the Greenbelt. If we care about our futures the Greenbelt and other natural and ecologically diverse lands needs to be protected and maintained.
