ABC Technologies Inc., operating as Saflex Polymers - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval No. 0978-7ZEQTY (air & noise) for ABC Technologies Inc., a custom compounder of plastic materials, located at 1925 Wilson Avenue in the City of Toronto, Ontario.

This proposal includes all emission sources from the facility that exhaust to the atmosphere, including:

• cooling towers
• vacuum pumps
• compounding machines
• dust collectors

This amendment is to address updates to the facility, including:

• a request for Limited Operational Flexibility
• the removal of two cooling towers and addition of a new BAC cooling tower
• the removal of old dust collectors and addition of new dust collector

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

• benzaldehyde
• acrolein
• butryaldehyde
• formic acid
• particulate matter

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air).

The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
