Why consultation isn't required
This bulletin is for information only, as a closure plan amendment is not an instrument under the Environmental Bill of Rights, 1993. The Ministry of Mines is posting this bulletin to the Environmental Registry to keep the public informed of changes to mining projects in Ontario. If you wish to comment on this Closure Plan Amendment, please use the contact information for Andrew Persad below.
Bulletin details
The amendment reflects changes associated with the company’s mining properties since the previous Closure Plan Amendment was filed with the Ministry in 2019.
The objective of this Closure Plan Amendment (CPA) is to present a decommissioning strategy that reflects current site conditions and addresses issues related to environmental protection and public safety.
The Closure Plan amendment also updates the progressive rehabilitation conducted to date at the site and the costs associated with the closure of all mine hazards present at site.
