Proposal details
This proposal is for the renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) 0577-9G2LL5 for Evolution Mining Gold Operations Ltd., an underground mine with three overlapping phases, exploration, sinking and production, located at 21 Mills Avenue in Cochenour, Ontario.
The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include emergency generator storage tanks, dust collectors and a natural gas-fired downcast heater with a Facility Production Limit of 664,100 tonnes of extracted rock per year.
Emissions to the air from this facility include:
- aluminum oxide
- arsenic
- calcium oxide
- ferric oxide
- manganese
- nickel
- nitrogen oxides
- phosphorous
The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air).
The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
