This proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval for a Waste Disposal Site (processing) for Unique Environmental Service Inc., located at 935 Sandy Beach Road in Pickering, Ontario, for the receiving, temporary storage and processing (recycling) of post-industrial High Molecular Weight (HMW) High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastics.
The designated material that will be accepted by the facility are:
- clean HMW HDPE containers
- used and empty HMW HDPE containers
- baled HMW HDPE plastics
The main operations at the facility in Pickering, Ontario involve shredding and grinding post-industrial HMW HDPE plastics to produce plastic chips Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm. The plastic chips are washed and sold as feedstock material to manufacturing facilities that use the HMW HDPE chips to produce new products.
