Effects of consultation

A comment was received regarding the staff gauge elevation threshold used to indicate when water takings from the tributary of Sixteen Mile Creek is permitted. The comment recommended that this threshold be adjusted based on an updated revised rating curve assessment.

The issued Permit contains conditions to address this concern and recommendation. Condition 4.3 requires the Permit Holder to develop a revised stage discharge rating curve and condition 3.4 requires the staff gauge threshold be adjusted each year based on the most recently updated rating curve. The Permit Holder is required to install a float-switch to ensure that water is not taken from the tributary unless flow is above the minimum threshold.
