Decision details
The application for consent 60-C-232107 was draft approved on July 4, 2024 subject to conditions.
The application was reviewed for consistency with the environmental policies of the Provincial Policy Statement (e.g. natural heritage, water quality protection). No public comments were received.
Conditions include an undertaking to consolidate the parcels, a letter from the Northwestern Health Unit, and confirmation of adequate capacity to dispose of hauled sewage.
The decision to approve the consent is consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement once conditions are met. This decision will not have a significant impact on the environment.
The applicants have two years to satisfy conditions of draft approval, otherwise approval will lapse. The approval can be appealed using the procedure outlined below. Notice to appeal the decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal must be filed with the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing on or before July 24, 2024.

Original proposal
Proposal details
The purpose of application 60-C-232107 is to split one jointly owned lot (Lot 8) into two and add each half to the neighbouring properties. 0.379 hectares will be added to Lot 7, and 0.402 will be added to Lot 9. Lot 8 is currently vacant land, whereas Lots 7 and 9 have existing recreational dwellings, septic systems, and lake water systems. A restrictive covenant is in place on Lot 8, which restricts development within 35 metres of the abutting property lines.
