Proposal details
This proposal is to amend Environmental Compliance Approval No. 6606-CAFMQN for sewage works at the Lafarge Canada Inc. Bath Site, located at 6501 Loyalist Parkway in Bath Ontario.
The amendment is for the installation of an on-site sewage system to treat and dispose of 12,250 litres per day of sanitary sewage effluent. Sanitary sewage effluent will no longer be directed to the existing Waste Stabilization Pond.
The proposed on-site sewage system includes the following:
- 45,000 litre septic tank
- 18,500 litre pumping station with duplex pump system and associated appurtenances
- 63.4 metre - 50 millimetre diameter PVC forcemain
- 46.5 metre by 33 metre raised leaching bed with 416 metres of perforated distribution pipe
The Lafarge Bath Site extends south to the Highway 33 road right-of-way that abuts the North Channel of Lake Ontario. There are no on- or off-Site groundwater receptors located between the proposed location of the on-site sewage disposal system and the North Channel of Lake Ontario.
