We need this project shut down, I am concerned about the fish spawning in Molly's Creek and endangered species in the Sydenham River only in this area of Ontario, we need a full environmental assessment done.

My wife and I wish to voice our opposition to this proposed dump. We live in the city of Chatham, not Dresden. Our thought is twofold. First of course is the environmental impact on the Sydenham River watershed. Read more

A full environmental assessment is essential before even considering a reactivation of the Dresden landfill site. Environmental protection is of the utmost importance & to rubber stamp the York1 proposal without considering all of the potential effects would be a grave mistake. Read more

I am strongly opposed to York1 opening a garbage disposal from the Province of Ontario. Our small town cannot possibly handle such and to boot 1km away from our town! Plus 700 trucks bearing down through our town is ludicrous!! Read more

Hopefully Dresden’s voice is heard, since York 1 kept us from valuable and damaging information at the appropriate times. Having meetings with their rules and their answers that weren’t informative at all. Keeping information away from the people of Dresden whom are directly involved. Read more

As a concerned resident of Ontario, large companies cannot be allowed to harm our communities through back doors and shoddy approaches to waste management. The site was never designed to be used as York1 is proposing and it is evident that locals do not want this project under taken. Read more

I have 3 kids. With the amount of trucks that will be coming through here and the toxins that they will produce…it’s not safe for the children in this community. We do not want this dump brought to Dresden.

Dresden sure doesn't need this to be so close to their community. It would become a real problem for its environment and would cause health problems down the road.

The GTA needs to figure out this garbage problem themselves. To be kept within their own boundaries. Reduce transportation on highways. Out of sight out of mind is not a solution. Look to other parts of the world for solutions

We've got enough of our own waste to deal with,let Toronto take care of their own. Let them expand their recycling programs by building more plants too handle more reusable waste and not throw the access into land fill.

We are absolutely opposed to the proposal of this dump in Dresden. We relocated to Dresden and a new build home less than one year ago and chose this quaint town over many others because it seemed perfect for our retirement. Read more

This is unacceptable. The GTA needs to find its own solution to its garbage problem rather than making it Southwestern Ontario's problem. The lazy approach to waste disposal is no longer appropriate.
