Toyota Boshoku Canada, Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise) which replaces all the current Environmental Compliance Approvals for air at this facility, including Environmental Compliance Approval (air) No. A-500-4117362664, and includes the addition of new or historically unapproved sources for all emissions from Toyota Boshoku Canada, Inc., a vehicle parts manufacturing facility, located in the City of Woodstock, Ontario.

The application includes all sources at the facility, including:

• welding
• closed injection moulding
• adhesive application
• polyurethane headliner, and
• plasma cutting

The amendment includes the addition of a second weld exhaust, a plasma cutter exhaust, a polyurethane foam production line and associated emissions, and the inclusion of additional injection moulding capacity.

Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• ethyl acetate
• manganese compounds
• nitrogen oxides
• petroleum distillates
• polyurethane
• suspended particulate matter
• noise

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
