Proposal details

The proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) for D. Crupi & Sons Limited for a mobile crushing plant to provide a local source of crushed Recycled Asphalt Pavement and crushed recycled concrete.

Sources at the facility include the handling, transfer, crushing and screening of aggregate material, and a diesel-fired engine that powers the portable crushing plant.

Emissions from the portable crushing plant include:

  • particulate matter
  • respirable crystalline silica (quartz)
  • nitrogen oxides
  • sulphur dioxide
  • carbon monoxide

The crushing plant will operate at various sites across Ontario, and may operate up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
