Proposal details
This application is for an amendment to the existing Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) No. 6024-CKYJDA for industrial stormwater management works serving CN Stuart Yard, located at 220 Harbour Front Drive, Hamilton, Ontario.
The proposed works include the installation of two oil-grit separator (OGS) units, upgrades to two additional OGS units, three new emergency shut-off valves and spill containment for the locomotive saiding area.
The works will discharge to a series of catch basins and the storm sewer which then drains through the proposed OGS units and emergency shut-off valves prior to final discharge to Lake Ontario. These measures will provide an increase level of spill protection and water quality protection to Lake Ontario.
