This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air and noise) No. 9174-6Z8P2G for Lafarge Canada Inc., for their aggregate quarry with crushing, screening, and washing operations, located in Meldrum Bay, Ontario.

This application is for the approval of one primary crusher, three secondary crushers, 13 screens, four diesel-fired generators, one wash plant, and fugitive emissions from the drilling, storage, handling, and processing of materials associated with quarry operations.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • particulate matter
  • nitrogen oxide
  • respirable crystalline silica
  • sulphur dioxide
  • carbon monoixide
  • calcium carbonate
