The proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) for an existing groundwater de-watering system for building construction, using extraction wells, at the Barrel Yards construction project site, located at 110 Erb Street West in Waterloo, Ontario.
The proposed groundwater de-watering system discharges to on-site storm sewers that discharge to an existing municipal storm sewer located along Father David Bauer Drive, and eventually to Laurel Creek. The dewatering system discharges ground water generated during the construction dewatering process, with a maximum discharge rate of 5,000,000 litres per day.
