This proposal is for an amendment to existing Environmental Compliance Approval from GFL Environmental Services Inc. (waste disposal site) Number A100140 for a Waste Disposal Site (transfer/processing) with a total area of 1.83 hectares located at 52 Imperial Street, Hamilton, Ontario.
Approval is currently being sought to permit alkaline battery processing onsite, extend the existing solids building for an additional 8 storage and 2 offloading/solidification cells (while still only operating the baghouse system over 1 cell at a time), and to receive Ontario Waste Classes 266 (for processing and transfer) and 331 (for transfer). The Imperial Street Facility is approved to operate 24 hours per day 365 days per year and serves Canada and the United States.
