Original proposal
Proposal details
This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for industrial sewage works for Tristone Aggregates Inc., a new aggregate washing plant located at 40581 Winthrope Road, in Central Huron.
This application is for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of washwater (classified as "industrial sewage") from the new aggregate washing plant. The water used by the aggregate washing plant is obtained from an on-site pond and includes stormwater run-off from the pit floor and groundwater. The sewage (washwater containing natural sand, silt and clay) will undergo settling in stilling basins prior to recirculation to the aggregate washing plant. No washwater discharge would leave the site.
The ministry may require effluent monitoring for the washwater recirculation.
