The proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) for 101172801 Saskatchewan Ltd. for industrial sewage treatment works serving a liquid soil processing facility, located at 5752 Highway 9, Schomberg, Ontario.
The sewage treatment works consist of an engineered wetland. The engineered wetland is comprised of three vegetated treatment cells which operate primarily as a sedimentation tank; but will inherently provide a degree of nutrient treatment. The wetland will also permit the required effluent monitoring proposed for the system (and associated appurtenances), and are designed to meet Effluent Quality requirements prior to discharge to the West Holland River located immediately adjacent to this system.
The Ministry may require monitoring of the wetland effluent discharge leaving this Site.
