Proposal details
The proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval (Waste Disposal Site) with the Operational Flexibility for a waste transfer and processing facility. The facility is a 2.12 hectare (ha) property within a total site area of 8.9 ha located at 794 River Road, Pembroke, Ontario.
The facility will receive 100% solid non-hazardous waste material within an enclosed structure where it will be stored and processed to separate recyclable from non-recyclable materials. The maximum quantity of waste delivered to the Site on any given day is 60 tonnes with a maximum waste storage quantity of 426 tonnes at any one time. The facility will have the ability to operate between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Saturday year round except for statutory holidays.
The Environmental Compliance Approval with Operational Flexibility (Waste), when issued, permits pre-determined modifications to the operations without a requirement to make an application for an amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (Waste).
