The changes to the site plan for ARA Licence No. 625326 were approved by the Director on December 19, 2025. 

The approval allows OCL Trucking & Excavating Ltd. to increase the number of tonnes of aggregate that may be removed in a calendar year from 100,000 tonnes annually to 400,000 tonnes annually.

In addition, this approval authorizes the following site plan amendments:

  • Include a recycling area (asphalt & concrete) on the site
  • Include a storage structure on site.

Proposal details

OCL Trucking & Excavating Ltd. operates both a pit and quarry in the City of Greater Sudbury under the authority of ARA License No. 625326. The licensee has made an application to amend the current site plan conditions to:

  1. Increase the maximum annual tonnage limit for the license to 400,000 tonnes. The current annual tonnage limit for this site, as stated on the site plan, is 100,000 tonnes;
  2. Include a recycling area (asphalt) on the site; and
  3. Include a storage building on the site
