This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval by Prism Farms Limited located at 731 Mersea Road 7, Municipality of Leamington, Ontario.
The proposed sewage works is designed to treat domestic sewage generated from existing, proposed and future agricultural employment populations, and includes a new moving bed biofilm reactor (BBR) wastewater treatment system with a rated capacity of 36 cubic metres per day, consisting of pre-treatment, flow equalization, primary treatment, secondary treatment, tertiary treatment and UV disinfection. The final effluent will discharge to a roadside ditch with outlet to Lebo Creek Drain within the Hillman Creek Watershed.
The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) will require monitoring of the treated wastewater effluent discharge leaving the site.
