A & A Environmental Consultants Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air) for A & A Environmental Consultants Inc. to provide in-situ remediation services to facilitate the treatment of contaminants present in soil and groundwater, located in the Town of Newmarket, Ontario.

This application is for the approval to treat contaminated media using one or a combination of processes including:

• degradation through in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO), and
• adsorption using colloidal activated carbon (AC)

The process will also include the use of an injected permeable barrier at the site boundaries. Delivery of treatment solutions into the subsurface will be accomplished by direct placement into open excavations or trenches or conveyed by vertical screened piping of either a permanent or temporary nature.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

• carbon,
• iron,
• silicon,
• manganese, and
• chromium
