Decision details

The changes to the site plan for ARA Licences 6591, 6595, 6602 & 625401 were approved by the Director on September 03, 2026. 

The approval allows Vicdom Sand and Gravel (Ontario) Limited to:

 -          Amalgamate all four (4) licences;

-           Combine the annual tonnage limit of 2,165,000 tonnes;

-           Eliminate internal setbacks and increase the internal limits of extraction (above and below the water table);

-           Increase the depth of extraction;

-           Change the sequence of extraction;

-           Integrate progressive & final rehabilitation;

-           Establish a combined rehabilitated lake/increase the lake area

The proposed request for this licence is being circulated within the Ministry of Natural Resources. Additionally, notification of this application has been forwarded to the Township of Uxbridge, Regional Municipality of Durham, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) and landowners within 120 metres of the licence boundary for comment.
