Linamar Corporation operating as Traxle Mfg. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for an amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 7357-9Z9QDY with Limited Operational Flexibility for Linamar Corporation, an automotive components manufacturing facility, located in the City of Guelph, Ontario.

The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include:

• a laboratory hood
• air filtration
• cooling units
• cooling towers
• oil dipper
• parts washers
• combustion equipment

The amendment is to renew the Limited Operational Flexibility, update product usage rates, update site-specific sound level limits and data, and add an oil dipper, parts washers, exhaust fans, general exhausts, HVAC, and silencer.

Emissions to the air from this facility include sulphonate mixture and noise.

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
