Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air) for MetriCan Mfg. Co. Inc., an automotive parts manufacturing facility, located in the Town of Oakville, Ontario.

This application includes all emission sources from the facility that exhaust to the atmosphere including:

  • three Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining lines,
  • three Wire Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) lines,
  • three Grinding Machine lines equipped with five dust collection systems,
  • one stand alone bench grinder/sander equipped with one dust collection system,
  • a maintenance welding area equipped with one dust collection system,
  • tryout/test presses,
  • production metal parts stamping machines,
  • product packaging,
  • warehousing,
  • shipping, and
  • comfort heating equipment

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • nitrogen oxides, and
  • total suspended particulate
