This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 8480-B2ZFQ3 for Fleet Canada Inc., a facility that manufactures fabricated aluminium and composite aircraft components, located in the Town of Fort Erie, Ontario.
This application is for the addition of a new scrubber to service expansions to Fleet’s tank line, and the conversion of an unused paint both into a potting compound application area. The emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include paint spray booths, natural gas-fired equipment, scrubbers, dust collectors, machining, routing, deburring, cleaning, chemical stripping, anodizing, bonding, adhesive painting, and curing. Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:
- borax
- chromium (hexavalent)
- dioxolane-1,3
- nitrogen oxides
- particulate matter
- phosphoric acid, and noise
