The commenter supports careful review of the proposed increase from 50,000 to 250,000 tonnes annually, noting that such a substantial expansion warrants thorough consideration of its potential environmental impacts.

The licensee addressed this comment: A thorough review of the proposed increase from 50,000 to 250,000 tonnes per year has been undertaken to assess its necessity for meeting market demand and its potential impacts on natural heritage, water resources, traffic, noise, dust, and surrounding land uses. Supporting studies, regulatory approvals, and public comments are being considered by provincial and municipal reviewers as part of the evaluation process.

Comments were received through the Aggregate Resources Act (ARA) consultation process. The licensee conducted multiple follow-ups with Township and interested parties, provided responses to comments and supporting studies, and received no further concerns.
