Effects of consultation
One comment was received on ERO regarding zoning of the proposed location.
Ministry's response:
The Zoning Compliance Memo issued by the Town of Halton Hills on January 15, 2026, confirmed that the proposed single animal incinerator is permitted as an accessory agricultural use on an active farm property.
Further, in correspondence dated August 26, 2026, the Town of Halton Hills confirmed that it has no objection to the proposal, provided the operation is limited to a single agricultural animal incinerator, and reiterated that this use is considered an accessory agricultural use. The Regional Municipality of Halton also confirmed, by letter dated August 27, 2026, that it has no objection to the proposed operation. These municipal confirmations support that the proposed undertaking is consistent with the property's existing zoning.
