Decision details
On January 7, 2026, application No. 58-C-248356 was approved with conditions.
The application will permit a lot addition to provide legal access to the receiving lot.
The purpose of this application is for consent to sever 0.0293 hectares of vacant land with 10.36m of road frontage from PIN 623270647 to be added as a lot addition to PIN 623270113.
The receiving lot has lake frontage of 30.17m, a depth of 75.28m and an area of 0.227 hectares and contains a cottage, shed and an outhouse.
The proposed retained lot has an area of 1.14 hectares, with road frontage of 208 metres on Cummins Road North and Warnica Lake/Howcum Lake Road, and lake frontage of 30 metres. The retained lot currently has a camp, shed and sauna built in 1961 and septic system located directly west of the main building
The effect of this application is to give the receiving property an increase in size and direct road access to the property.
The subject property is located on Cummins Lake in the unorganized Township of Jacques and is accessed by Cummins Lake Road N which is a Roads Board Road.
The application was reviewed for consistency with the environmental policies of the Provincial Planning Statement 2024 (e.g., natural heritage, water quality protection). No comments were received. The decision to approve the consent is consistent with the Provincial Planning Statement and will not have a significant impact on the environment.
The approval can be appealed by a specified person or public body, as defined in s.1(1) of the Planning Act, using the procedure outlined below. Notice to appeal the decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal must be filed with the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing on or before January 27, 2026.
The applicant has two (2) years to satisfy conditions, otherwise the approval will lapse.
