781998 Ontario Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (waste)

This proposal is to amend Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) No. 4462-AD6P6S issued to 781998 Ontario Inc., for a non-hazardous solid waste transfer facility. This transfer site is a 2.66 hectare property located at 194 County Road 17 in the Township of Champlain, Ontario.

The facility accepts and transfers solid non-hazardous waste from sources including domestic, industrial, commercial, and institutional (IC&I), leaf and yard, contaminated soil, wood, and recyclable materials within the Provinces of Ontario and Quebec.

The amendment proposes an orientation change for the waste transfer facility, additional recycling transfer operations and temporary storage, and an increase in the stormwater tank holding size. No change is proposed for the type or quantity of material to be received, equipment, methods used to sort and bulk materials, or air and noise emissions. The maximum quantity of waste delivered to the site on any given day is 160 tonnes, and 49,920 tonnes annually.

The facility operates from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday year-round, except for statutory holidays. The site is to service the Provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
