This proposal is to consolidate and amend Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 8-1202-96-006 and No. 111/1/359 for Mount Pleasant Cemetery (London) Inc. for the operation of a crematorium facility, located in the City of London, Ontario.

This application is to install two new human cremation units and decommission the three existing units at Mount Pleasant Cemetery & Crematorium.

The sources at the facility include combustion exhaust stacks, a cremains processor, and space heaters.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • particulate matter
  • hydrochloric acid
  • nitrogen oxides
  • dioxins and furans
  • benzo(a)pyrene
  • cadmium
  • lead, and
  • mercury
