This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 6428-84SJMU for Waste Management of Canada Corporation, a closed landfill located in the Town of Petrolia, Ontario.
This application is for decommissioning four existing landfill-gas fired generators, and retrofitting the existing enclosed flare to a candlestick flare. The sources at the facility include a candlestick flare and landfill cap.
Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:
- benzene
- methane
- nitrogen oxides
- sulphur dioxide
- suspended particulate matter
- total reduced sulphur
- noise
