Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) for Seacliff Renewables GP Inc. as general partner for and on behalf of Seacliff Renewables LP, operating an organic waste recycling and bioenergy facility, located in the Municipality of Leamington, Ontario.

The proposal is for a Biomethane System (BUS) to upgrade the biogas produced into Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) for injection into the natural gas distribution pipeline network.

This application includes all emission sources from the facility that exhaust to the atmosphere including including:

  • a biofilter
  • co-generator
  • biogas upgrade skids
  • membrane skid exhaust
  • biogas flare, and
  • a natural gas boiler

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • nitrogen oxides
  • carbon dioxide
  • carbon monoxide
  • odour
  • particulate matter, and
  • total reduced sulfur
