This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) in support of an existing private on-site sewage collection, treatment, and disposal system servicing the Smokey Hollow Estates Wastewater Treatment System located at 114 Powerline, Brant County, Ontario.
The existing treatment plant includes of a sewage pumping station, rotating biological contactor, secondary clarifier, backwashable media filtration with coagulant addition, ultra-violet disinfection, and gravity discharge of final effluent to the Fairchild Creek; and a sludge storage tank.
The capacity of the new wastewater treatment plant is rated at an annual average daily flow of 62,000 litres per day.
