Proposal details

This proposal is to amend the Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 3622-AF6KC2 for Toronto Transit Commission for the Hillcrest Complex, located in Toronto, Ontario.

This application is to include the installation of new trackwork, equipment upgrades at the Duncan and Harvey Shop buildings along with addition of process related equipment. The sources at the facility include:

  • paint spray booths
  • welding
  • washing operations
  • printing operations
  • boilers
  • dust collectors
  • salt domes
  • sand silos, and
  • heating, ventilating and air conditioning units

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • benzene
  • nickel
  • silicon dioxide,
  • xylene
  • toluene, and
  • nitrogen oxides
