This proposal is for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) number 0325-8F8HLY for Re-Eco Tech Electronic Conversions Ltd., operating as ERS International (ERS),for its facility located at 2450 Lawrence Avenue East, Units 3-15, Toronto, Ontario.

Under the application for amendment, the following operational changes are proposed:

  • new waste to be received at the facility for transfer consists of nicotine-containing liquid, and processed vape device materials (metal and non-metal components) resulting from off-site processing activities
  • in addition, electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) and electronic vaping devices (which are manually separated on receipt) will continue to be received at the site
  • the maximum storage capacity for all EEE at the site will remain at the currently-approved amount of 608 tonnes
  • the maximum daily amount of materials to be accepted at the site is proposed to be increased to 120 tonnes per day

The current service area to receive e-waste includes the Province of Ontario, North America, Europe (including British Isles), Asia, the Caribbean, and Brazil. The hours of operation at the facility are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
