Proposal details

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) for Ontario Asphalt Supply Limited for the operation of a portable hot-mix asphalt (HMA) plant, equipped with a storage tank, oil-fired hot-oil heater, baghouse, storage silo and associated diesel engines.

The equipment will be used to process aggregate materials throughout the Province of Ontario and can potentially operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and 52 weeks per year.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • particulate matter
  • crystalline silica
  • benzo(a)pyrene
  • benzene
  • nitrogen oxides, and
  • carbon monoxide
