This proposal is for approval of an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) for Re-Eco Tech Electronic Conversions Ltd., operating as ERS International (ERS),for its facility located at 2500 Lawrence Avenue East, Unit 6, Toronto, Ontario.

Under the application for approval, the following operations are proposed:

  • electronic vaping devices and nicotine liquid cartridges and vials are received and processed, with the resultant recoverable materials and/or waste materials are transferred offsite for reuse or disposal
  • the maximum storage capacity for all waste at the site is proposed to be 25 tonnes
  • the average daily amount of materials to be accepted at the site is proposed to be 10 tonnes per day
  • the maximum daily amount of materials to be accepted at the site is proposed to be 25 tonnes per day
  • processing of materials will involve shredding, and pulverizing; material recovery will be achieved through the use of magnets, air separators and sieves
  • recovered material will be sent for use in manufacturing activities or, where required, approved waste disposal sites

The proposed service area to receive materials includes the Province of Ontario, North America, Europe (including British Isles), Asia, the Caribbean and Brazil. The proposed hours of operation at the facility are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
