Sherwin-Williams Canada Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for the renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility for an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 9158-A6JSHW for Sherwin Williams Canada Inc., for the mixing and production of solvent, water-borne paints, and stains as well as the associated product packaging operations, located in Fort Erie, Ontario.

This proposal includes all emission sources from the raw material storage and handling, product mixing tanks, product packaging, spray booths, as well as combustion by-product emissions from natural gas fired air make-up units and HVAC units and any other ancillary and support processes and activities.

Emissions to the atmosphere from this facility include:

• nitrogen oxides
• acetone
• bentonite
• benzene
• ethyl acetate, and
• d-Limonene

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The Limited Operational Flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
