This proposal is to amend multimedia Environmental Compliance Approval No. A120106 issued to The Regional Municipality of Niagara for the Glenridge Quarry Naturalization Site located at 1860 Sir Isaac Brock Way, in St. Catharines, Ontario.

This amendment seeks the approval to modify the height of the landfill passive vents from 6 metres above grade to three metres above grade. This includes the 3 passive vents on the south of the property (v1, v2 and v3), as well as the 2 newly installed vents to the east (v5 and v6).

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • methane
  • benzene
  • 1,3-Butadiene

Proposal reference number 0664-DRZM8L (air) was submitted in conjunction with proposal reference number 1623-DRSQKT (waste disposal site), and reference number 2041-DRZL6D (municipal sewage).
