Bishop Water Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage)

This proposal is for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) No. 6079-AAXPKA to allow for the addition of chemical parameters, treatment processes and land use sites that the mobile plant can collect, transmit, treat and dispose of surface water, industrial wastewater, and/or groundwater:

• chemical parameters to be added include radionuclides, resins, fatty oils, ammonia, total nitrogen, phosphorus, cyanide, and boron. Effluent limits will be based on Provincial Water Quality Objectives, Ontario Drinking Water Standards, or Full Depth Generic Site Conditions in a Potable Groundwater Condition that the Ministry deems applicable or if a chemical parameter are not found in the Standards or site conditions warrant an effluent limit will be set through a site specific assessment that will include testing and receiving water characterization for review and approval by the Ministry's District Manager responsible for the project site location.
• treatment processes added could include ion exchange (mixed bed resin ) and mechanical solids separation methods that could include filter press(s), drum filter(s) or centrifuge(s); and
• mobile plant setup and operation on industrial and municipal sites in addition to construction and remediation sites

The current Mobile Water Treatment Units ECA allows for the treatment of petroleum hydrocarbons, volatile organics, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, metals, chlorinated solvents, suspended solids from contaminated surface water, industrial wastewater, and/or groundwater, at various locations throughout Ontario, including fuel or chemical spill sites, construction and remediation sites, municipal, agricultural and industrial sites.

Mobile treatment units will be stored at a leased property located at 16 Edward Street South, Arnprior, Ontario.
