This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (air) for United Ready Mix Inc., a Ready-Mix Concrete facility, located in Concord, Ontario.

This application includes all emission sources from the facility that exhaust to the atmosphere including receiving and stockpiling of aggregate, transfer of aggregates to internal storage bins using a hopper and conveyor system, pneumatic loading of cement powder and supplements (slag) into internal silos, storage of cement admixtures in containers, loading of material into the ready-mix weigh hopper, transfer of material from the weigh hopper to the ready-mix trucks using a fabric sock, and shipment of ready-mix concrete off-site.

Contaminant emissions to the atmosphere include:

  • particulate matter
  • calcium carbonate
  • calcium oxide
  • nitrogen oxides
  • Portland cement
