Proposal details
This proposal is submitted to amend the existing Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) No. A120316 for a processing facility located at 17 Invertose Drive, Port Colborne.
This amendment is requested for the facility to redistribute the quantities of certain battery-related waste commodities that may be received, handled, and stored at the site.
The specific changes include:
- An increase for Lithium Ion from the current maximum of 51,235 kilograms to 111,235 kilograms
- A reduction for Lead Acid Batteries from the current maximum of 205,000 kilograms to 145,000 kilograms
There is no increase in the overall maximum quantity of wastes that can be stored at the site, it will remain at the current limit of 901,533 kilograms.
The facility currently operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The Service Area is North America.
