Proposal details
This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) for a waste transfer facility. This transfer site is a 1.88-hectare property located in the City of Barrie.
The facility will operate solely as a waste transfer facility for municipal or IC&I collection operations of recyclables, waste, compostable and leaf/yard waste (materials).
The maximum daily amount of waste to be received is 210 tonnes, and 54,600 tonnes annually. The site will operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week with typical route operations starting between 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Outbound shipments will occur throughout the operational days. The service area will be the Province of Ontario.
