Proposal details
This proposal is for an amendment to the consolidated Environmental Compliance Approval No. 1953-D5VJ86 to replace the individual sewage systems at 105 Orchard Lane and 125 Poplar Sideroad, and update the description of the sewage works servicing the Osler Bluff Ski Club (OBSC), consisting of 77 member-owned residential systems and four club-owned systems Clubhouse, at 795534 Blue Mountains – Clearview Townline, Town of The Blue Mountains, Ontario.
The OBSC Clubhouse sewage system also includes a third septic tank and pump tank that were omitted from the description in the consolidated ECA. The third septic tank is a two-compartment tank with a total volume of 3,600 Liters. The septic tank collects sewage from the Ski Haus and discharges it to a pump chamber equipped with two 0.5 horse power submersible pumps in a duty/standby configuration. The pumps are controlled via floats and convey sewage to the existing 4,550-Liter OBSC Clubhouse septic tank via a 38 millimetre diameter forcemain. The existing dwelling at 105 Orchard Lane is serviced by a Class 4 sewage system consisting of a 3,600-Liter septic tank and leaching bed of unknown dimensions located east of the dwelling. The existing dwelling at 125 Poplar Sideroad is serviced by a Class 4 sewage system consisting of a 2,700-Liter septic tank and a three meter x six meter leaching bed located northwest of the dwelling. The design capacities for the replacement sewage systems serving Lot 52 and Lot 72 are 3,100 liters per day and 2,100 liters per day, respectively.
The property has 77 individual on-site sewage systems, each one servicing a seasonal use ski cabin, as well as five additional on-site sewage systems servicing the Ski Club’s facilities. The total sum of the capacities of all sewage systems on-site is estimated to be greater than 50 cubic meters per day. Replacement of the sewage system is required due to the expansion of the dwelling.
