Imperial Oil Limited - Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage)

This proposal is for an amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) No. 5459-AYNPWC to modify the existing sewage Works servicing the Imperial Oil Bulk Fuel Terminal located at 1160 Kelly Lake Road, in the City of Greater Sudbury, discharging to Junction Creek.

This amendment is proposed to:

1. address effluent limits for Total Suspended Solids, Phenols, Toluene, and acute toxicity as documented in recent inspection reports;
2. incorporate engineered improvements to the oil/water and formalize stormwater drain rate controls and ensure compliance;
3. enhance documentation, inspection, and contingency protocols in accordance with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks recommendations and best practices; and
4. ensure the ongoing protection of Junction Creek and compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.
