This proposal is for an Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) for the use and operation of a crematorium for the processing of deadstock and companion pet remains.
This processing facility is on a 42-hectares property located in the Town of Halton Hills, Regional Municipality of Halton.
The facility will process deadstock and companion pet remains (excluding pathological and/or biohazardous waste). The ash resulting from onsite processing activities will be removed upon completion of processing or temporarily stored onsite, for return to customer or disposal at an approved waste disposal site.
The maximum quantity of waste material received on the site is 6.8 tonnes per day, and 2,482 tonnes annually. The service area of the facility is the Province of Ontario. The facility will operate from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., 7 days a week.
