This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) Waste Disposal Site (transfer/processing) submitted by 511414 Ontario Limited for the use and operation of a waste disposal site at 86618 Highway 21, Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, County of Huron. The site has a total site area of 1.25 hectares, and is proposed to be used for transfer and processing of solid non-hazardous waste.
The total amount of waste and processed materials received at the site is a maximum of 31,200 tonnes annually. The total amount of waste and processed materials stored at the site awaiting removal is a maximum of 424 tonnes. The waste disposal site can receive materials from within the Province of Ontario.
Processing and management of the waste will occur indoors. A limited number of bins for scrap metal and wood waste will be stored outdoors at the site. The hours of operation will be Monday to Friday, between 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., and Saturday between 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. for shipping and receiving to and from the site.
